How to set up a Decoy PIN in JewelKhata

A Decoy PIN opens a separate, empty vault when entered. It is the most-asked-about feature in JewelKhata and we recommend setting it up during your first day. The setup itself takes about two minutes.

    Open Settings

    In JewelKhata, open the Settings tab from the bottom navigation.

    Tap Security

    Choose "Security" from the settings list.

    Tap "Set Decoy PIN"

    Choose "Set Decoy PIN (Safe Mode)" from the security menu.

    Choose a different PIN

    Enter a 4-6 digit PIN that is different from your real PIN. You cannot reuse the real PIN.

    Confirm

    Re-enter the decoy PIN to confirm. The app now has two vaults.

    Test it

    Lock the app, then enter the decoy PIN. You should see an empty ledger. Entering your real PIN brings back your real data.
