About JewelKhata

JewelKhata is a khata and girvi app for Indian jewellery shops. It is built by a small team for the way a jeweller actually works: customers who pay in parts, orders measured in grams and purity, pledged gold that earns monthly interest, and records that must stay private.

Why we built it

Most shops still keep their khata and girvi register in paper books, or in general billing apps that upload everything to a cloud server. Paper can be lost or read by anyone; cloud apps put a shop's customer list and gold-loan details on someone else's computer. We wanted a third option: a digital register that works like a notebook — only on your phone — but is locked, searchable and does the interest maths for you.

What we believe

• Your records are yours. There is no JewelKhata server holding your data, and no account to create.
• Privacy needs real encryption. The database is AES-256 encrypted and locked by your PIN, with no master key. See how security works.
• Work in your language. The app is in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
• Be honest about limits. JewelKhata is for a single shop. It is not a GST filing tool or a multi-branch ERP — our comparisons say when another product is the better fit.
