Vyapar wins if you need barcode scanning, multi-device sync, full GST report generation, and you are comfortable customising templates yourself. It supports multi-staff use, which JewelKhata does not.
When JewelKhata is the better choice
JewelKhata wins if you want every order field — weight, purity, hallmark, gross/net, stone details — to be a first-class input instead of a custom field. And the Decoy PIN + AES-256 encrypted local database have no equivalent in Vyapar.

- In Vyapar, export your parties (customers) and items (inventory) to Excel.
- Install JewelKhata, set your PIN, and (optionally) set a Decoy PIN.
- Import customers by re-entering them with their jewellery-specific fields populated (Vyapar does not store purity / hallmark by default).
- Recreate your active inventory in JewelKhata. For high-volume shops, do this in batches over several days rather than all at once.
